Since then I have worked myself back into shape with a combo of exercise and diet. Everyone who sees me says the same thing: You look great, have you lost weight? It is a great feeling, but not nearly as good as I feel when a leap out of bed in the morning without a stiff bone or muscle in my body. Not good eh? True, but not bad either? Why because I have hit another weight milestone. I have been able to maintain a weight below 165 for over a month. Five pounds more and I am below my college weight and overall in better shape.<br /><br />If you are able to put together a healthy lifestyle routine, you can have bad days and not be concerned about the overall effect. On Monday, I will be back in the gym and I will be enjoying a nice, if not excessive, lunch and dinner and continuing towards my goal. Ten minutes up there in August and you will get what I call a hillbilly Sauna. Seriously. This was followed by a nice afternoon working in the yard. At the end of the day, I had a cut lawn, some weeding and had loss five pounds. <br /><br />Yes it's water weight, but my point is that not all work outs have to happen in the gym. Get some air and get something accomplished at the same time. As for me, I have a stack of wood to cut. Whatever excuse you had for not starting your program yesterday is over. Walk at lunch. Hit the gym. Lie down on the floor when you are watching TV and do some situps and leg lifts. And then start figuring out your schedule going forward. Got to be to work early? Work out at lunch. Wednesday a big day of obligations? Don't convince yourself you can work out, move your exercise schedule to Thursday. I have been working out religiously for a year. The difference?
